Frequently Asked Questions

Assessments

  • Families often consider an assessment when they notice ongoing challenges that do not improve with time, support, or intervention. This may include academic difficulties (such as reading, writing, or mathematics), attention or concentration concerns, emotional distress linked to school, behavioural or regulation challenges, or a noticeable gap between effort and performance. Some families also seek assessment to better understand their child’s strengths, learning style, or eligibility for educational adjustments. If you are unsure whether an assessment is appropriate, we welcome you to reach out for an initial conversation to discuss your concerns and determine the most suitable next steps.Item description
