Alongside assessment work, I offer therapy for children and adolescents experiencing emotional, social, and behavioural challenges. My approach is client-centred, practical, and grounded in over 15 years of experience working within school environments.
I understand the academic, social, and developmental pressures young people face. Whether a child is navigating anxiety, friendship difficulties, emotional regulation challenges, attentional concerns, or school-related stress, therapy provides a structured and supportive space to build insight, skills, and confidence.
I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches, including:
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Solution-Focused Therapy
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT-informed strategies)
Schema Therapy
Therapy is tailored to the individual. Some young people benefit from short-term, skills-based support focused on practical coping strategies. Others benefit from longer-term reflective work that builds emotional awareness, resilience, and self-understanding.
My work is neurodivergent-affirming and strengths-based. I aim to help young people better understand how their minds work, develop tools that support regulation and wellbeing, and strengthen their sense of agency.
Collaboration is central to my approach. Where appropriate, I work closely with parents, schools, and other health professionals to ensure consistency and meaningful progress across environments.
Above all, therapy is about creating a space where young people feel understood, respected, and supported as they develop the skills and confidence to navigate life’s challenges.
